My artwork is deeply rooted in a love for the summer beach environment, where I find endless inspiration in the coast's rich textures and brilliant light interactions. "Salmon Conch" was born from that exact passion—a desire to zoom in on the small, intricate details of nature that often go unnoticed and bring them to life using an intense, vibrant color palette. I wanted to capture the warmth, nostalgia, and bright energy of a summer day by the ocean, transforming a single coastal element into an immersive visual experience that celebrates the beauty of the natural world.
This 9in x 9in acrylic on canvas piece captures the radiant energy of coastal life through a striking, detailed study of a conch shell. Painted with rich, vibrant colors, the warm salmon and pink tones of the shell pop sharply against a vivid, textured green background. The technique focuses on building intricate daily details and a deliberate play of light across the shell’s natural ridges, transforming a classic beach find into a bold, contemporary statement piece.
