When I created this piece, I wanted to capture the absolute height of uninhibited joy and freedom. Through bold textures and warm, vibrant color palettes, a child's unrestrained laughter takes center side against an expansive backdrop. For me, this painting embodies the true spirit of liberation—reminding us that hope and joy aren't just abstract ideas, but lived, breathing experiences meant to be felt deeply and shared with the world. "The Sound of Joy" holds a very special place in my heart; it was honored as a 1st place winner in exhibitions in both South San Francisco and San Mateo, and it has also been featured as the official cover art for a music album by the Bay Worship Collective.
A child's genuine laughter becomes palpable through dynamic brush strokes, capturing a moment so vibrant that one can almost hear the sound of joy. This painting serves as a visual reminder of how hope, joy, and freedom are meant to be radiant, energetic, felt, and shared.
